Who handles AC repair and installation in La Puente?
The Cool Guy HVAC is an HVAC contractor serving La Puente, CA and the surrounding San Gabriel Valley, including Whittier, Hacienda Heights, Fullerton, Brea, Norwalk and Downey. We repair AC systems, install and replace them, keep them running with tune-ups, and put in ductless mini splits. If another company says you need a whole new system, we will check that quote and give you a second opinion.
Summers in the San Gabriel Valley run hot, and the heat hangs on into fall. A house with no working AC turns into an oven. So does a shop or office full of customers. We cool homes and local businesses alike, splitting our work about evenly between the two. Either way, the job is the same: find the real problem and fix it right.
Call (562) 589-2485 and tell us what your system is doing. You will get a clear estimate before any work starts. You can also send the short form on this page and ask for a free estimate.

FAQ
Common questions
Where can I find an HVAC contractor near me in La Puente?
The Cool Guy HVAC is based right here in La Puente, CA, and this is our home service area. We repair, install, tune up, and replace AC systems across La Puente and the wider San Gabriel Valley, from Hacienda Heights and Whittier out to Fullerton, Norwalk and Downey. Call (562) 589-2485 or send the short form on this page to ask for a free estimate.
What services does The Cool Guy HVAC offer?
Five. AC repair, AC installation and replacement, AC maintenance and tune-ups, ductless mini splits, and HVAC second opinions. A second opinion means we look at the quote another company gave you and tell you straight if the fix or the price makes sense. If what you need is not on that list, call us and ask.
What areas does The Cool Guy HVAC serve?
We are based in La Puente, CA, and that is our home service area. We also cover Whittier, Hacienda Heights, Fullerton, Brea, Norwalk and Downey. Every one of those cities sits within about 15 miles of our base. If you are just outside, call and ask.
What warranty do I get with a new AC system?
Every new system we install comes with a 10 year manufacturer warranty on the equipment and a 1 year warranty on our labor. That means the maker stands behind the unit for a decade, and we stand behind our own work for the first year. Keep your paperwork, and if something acts up in that window, call us first.
Do you offer 24 hour emergency AC repair?
No. We do not run a 24 hour emergency line, and we will not pretend we do. Call or send the form, and we will set up a visit as soon as our schedule allows. If your AC is down in a heat wave, say so when you call, and we will do our best to get to you quickly.
Do you work on both homes and businesses?
Yes. Our work splits about evenly between homes and commercial spaces such as shops and offices. The systems differ, but the approach does not: we find the real problem, explain it in plain words, and fix it. If you run a business anywhere in our service area, ask for a free estimate the same way homeowners do.
